Accessing the metadata ...

Metadata provides information about the quality, resolution, and "history" of a data set. All data sets listed in the menus have FGDC standard metadata related to them. If you would like to know more about a data set, you can view this information by clicking the Metadata button located in the data sets menu. This will start a new browser page. Following the links you can access the definitions of data sets provided in the application.
