Graham's Personal Page

Sports:

Especially as a graduate student, work takes up much of my time. However, when possible I try to keep exercised with various sports and activities. In 1999 I started competing in triathlons. I'm not very fast, (my swimming is appalling) but finishing is the main thing.

Last year I competed in four triathlons and a duathlon. They were the:

I finished the season by running the Philadelphia Marathon which I can honestly admit was much harder to finish than I had anticipated. I came home with a less than stella 3:55:03.

So far in 2000 I have done the Tri-for-the-Y and the Edinboro Tri.

Vacations:

I have been fortunate to have taken some incredible trips over the last few years. Some work related, many not. I hope eventually to put pictures on this page. Until then, here is a quick list of some of my more memorable outings.

I also try to visit my parents in Sutton Coldfield, England (where I grew up) at least once a year, and spend many of the US holidays in Erie, Pennsyvania, with my soon-to-be in-laws.

Personal:

I am extremely lucky to have a wonderful partner who has been with me throughtout most of the activites mentioned above. Christine Kosco (Chris) is an amazing woman, and introduced me to many of the pastimes that we now enjoy together (as well as enduring my weird work schedule). Chris is a graduate student in the Department of Molecular Biology & Genetics at Cornell.

It is my great pleasure to announce that Chris and I will be married in August 2000 in Portageville, NY, with reception to follow in the beautiful Letchworth State Park, overlooking the waterfall at the Glen Iris Inn.

Once married, Chris, Bunny (the adorable Cornish Rex), and I will continue to live in Ithaca.
